Netplay Data Usage: Stream More, Pay Less

Control data usage: Wi-Fi only downloads, quality picks per connection, and the rough gigabytes per hour.

Streaming eats mobile data fast, but the Netplay APK gives you the controls to keep it in check. These are the habits that save real gigabytes.

Know your numbers

Roughly: an hour of streaming at 480p uses well under a gigabyte, 720p uses around one to two, and 1080p can use several. Live channels behave like on-demand at the same quality. Your exact numbers vary, but the order of magnitude is what matters.

Download on Wi-Fi, watch anywhere

The biggest saver is also the simplest: queue downloads on Wi-Fi and watch them offline later. Turn on Wi-Fi only downloads in settings so the manager never touches mobile data by itself. Our offline downloads guide has the full workflow.

Drop quality on mobile data

Set the default stream quality to 480p or 720p when you are off Wi-Fi. On a phone screen it still looks good, and it roughly halves data use versus 1080p. Pair this with the best settings for your device.

Watch your background

Do not leave streams paused in the background on mobile data; some players keep buffering. Close the app fully when you are done.
