Netplay

Netplay is a free streaming app for Android that brings live television, movies and shows together in one place. It runs on phones, tablets and Android TV boxes, and it is designed around a single idea: press play and watch, with nothing standing between you and the content.

The Netplay APK is the install file for the Android version of the app. Version 10.0 is the current release in our library. At 24.7 MB it is light enough for phones with little free space, and it runs on Android 7.0 and newer, which covers the vast majority of devices in use today.

On screen, it keeps things simple. A home rail shows what is trending, a live section lists channels, and search finds a title in a couple of taps. Playback adapts to your connection automatically, so a shaky mobile signal does not turn every stream into a buffering wheel.

• Continue watching. Stop on your phone and pick up from the same spot on another device.
• Subtitle support. Multiple subtitle tracks with adjustable size and timing in the player.
• Lightweight build. The full app is 24.7 MB, small enough that it will not push photos and other apps off a budget phone.

Version 10.0 is a refinement release. The home screen was redesigned so trending titles, live channels and your continue-watching row all sit on one scroll instead of three tabs.

Under the hood, the video engine starts streams faster and recovers from network drops more gracefully. Our test on a mid-range phone showed noticeably quicker cold starts compared to the previous build, and channel switching in the live section feels close to instant on Wi-Fi.

The download manager also got attention: queued downloads now pause and resume cleanly when you leave and rejoin Wi-Fi, instead of restarting from zero.

Installing the Netplay APK takes about a minute. Android asks for one permission along the way, and that is normal for any app installed outside the Play Store.
